Spooktober 2024 Avalanchers blend in with the rocks and scream to cause landslides, burying prey to be eaten alive later. It has a single eyestalk. It is crab-like, with its limbs able to fold in. Its hide is able to withstand being crushed in an avalanche and it knows how to dig its way out if needed. Some more intelligent ones learn spells like "Rock to Mud", making even bigger avalanches.
While it has good eyesight, its main perception is echolocation, sometimes known as Stonesingers for their unique form of echolocation. This screaming is often weaponized, breaking up cavalry charges, destroying stone structures, and massively damaging the hearing of their enemies. To protect their own hearing, they have a way to deafen themselves during their own screams.
Avalanchers have the ability to spit a corrosive acid, which helps them feed on both organic material and rocks.
Mountain Breakers: A militarized unit of Avalanchers. They scream to cause strategic rockslides. One regiment even broke a whole mountain to bury a fortress they were sieging.
Winter War: Some Avalanchers were hired into Dyrain Winters' Army during The Winter War. They mostly controlled the mountainous and rocky areas.
Fact: Apparently Avalanches are not caused by sound alone. .
