Taskinari mask

The taskinari masks are an iconic piece of armor worn by Taskinari soldiers. There are multiple variations of the mask, but nearly all Taskinari tribes have them. They are used as armor for battle and most soldiers have a different symbol carved into their mask. The base shape of the symbol is the same for every member of the same tribe, but a soldier can add new lines or shapes. The masks are primarily made of Asmil, a rare metal only found in Taskin.

Significance

In Taskinari culture, a mask is seen as a rite of passage for young males. Recieving a mask shows that they have become adults. To get a mask, a young Taskinari must first hunt a predator for it's teeth or horns. Then they can give those the armorsmith of their tribe and the armorsmith will forge them a mask. It is not mandatory to get a mask, but older men are usually shamed for not having one.
