Languages

In Renereach, almost everyone speaks a single language, which has no name officially but can be referred to as ‘universal’. Even people who are raised away from general society usually speak this language. It is extremely rare to find someone who does not speak this as one of their first languages.
However, some groups have their own languages that act as a secondary language, used among that group. There are also regional differences in how universal is spoken.
Most educated people speak at least basic sign language, enough to communicate general ideas. Most people that live in big cities or have had good schooling have learnt it as a matter of course.
