Ceit
Ceit have a top half similar to humans, but a snake-like bottom half and face. They often have scales on parts of their upper bodies too, such as on their shoulders or cheeks. They tend to live in hotter, dryer climes, mostly on Karsaal. Some types have hoods that they can flare, or rattles on their tail ends, and all possess fangs and poison glands with varying levels of minor poison.
Age: Ceit can live for around 80 years, and mature at age 20.
Size: Ceit tend to be between 4'0” and 5'0” tall. Your size is Medium.
Creature Type: You are a Humanoid.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
Serpentine Fangs: You know the Poison Spray cantrip. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell when you cast it with this trait (choose when you select this race). This functions as a biological ability instead of a spell. You can use your teeth to make an unarmed strike. When you hit with them, the strike deals 1d6 + your CON modifier poison damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

When somebody is grappled by you, you may force a strength contest to use them as a living shield, causing them to take half the damage of an attack directed at you if you succeed. This cannot be used for AOE effects. Once this has happened, the grappled creature may make a free attempt to release themself from the grapple.
