After Slade lost his parents at just the age of 13 he felt he had no other choice then to fight for survival by, stealing, killing and raiding. His crimes started out as just small petty thievery after many months and many years he got more and more ruthless. In his later years he actually settled down but unfortunately all of his crimes caught up with him.
