Corite

Corite is a common material found in military, mining and farming use, is nearly as cheap as Iron and can be used used for tools that need to be lighter weight. It is pretty commonly found in ore markets and armour plating for Light Weight Industrial golems.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Corite is a Blueish Silvery metal, it does not exist in our real world and is the result of thousands of years of special conditions resulting in the Iron-like material.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Corite is the temperature of the room usually, it feels like a smooth iron, it is often said 'nice to feel'.

Compounds

Corite is commonly used in combination with Iron, this creates Corite Steel which is a very durable metal but has a lower melting and boiling rate making it less resistant to heat however the Smoothness of corite makesi t perfect for Anti Ballistic Shields like the Equestrian Scutum.

Geology & Geography

Corite is typically found around Ore deposits in areas with higher volcanic activity, this is because super old Iron deposits eventually turn into Corite, it is believed to be more beautiful of magic then natural evolution of ores. For instance Corite is also found near Aura Crystals very commonly.

Origin & Source

The Metal is believed to be in the family of 'Semi-Unnatural' ores, due to where it appears and the fact it has a strange silvery appearance despite being fairly similar to Iron.

Life & Expiration

Corite can get more impure over time, thus it is common for Miners to purify the metal before it is used for anything.
