Social Treatment

How they look  

They can be both Men and Women as well as Intersex, they have human features as well as all our skin colours and our hair the things that divide them from us is their sharper nails, fangs and long hair ears as well as their tales. All have cat like eyes that can switch between round Iris' and narrow ones. They're one of the more human like Mutant types to come from gene therapy yet despite their insignificant differences, it's enough for people to consider them sub human or not even human at all.

Physical Traits

Interestingly despite their similar features, Nikohito actually have zero genetic heritage to cats and instead carry freshly crafted genes and are genetically separate from cats in almost every imaginable way and have way more in common with Humans. They can also eat human food but lack any increased resistances and unlike cats can't heal themselves by licking.

Naming

Unlike fictional depictions, Nekohito tend to have Japanese names and if not have names from the culture they reside in, sometimes small communities have their own types of names and take inspiration from the cultures they're near too.
