Letter from Sir Rufus
Xanorin my boy! Always so good to hear from you. I must admit your method of missive delivery was most irregular, most irregular indeed. Gave my guests quite a fright. I must insist that if you wish to communicate with me, you do so without sending it by owl. Of course I was delighted to learn that you were in Mystemere. Imagine my surprise at seeing that. Have you seen your mother of late? I would love to speak with her. I need her advice in some complex dealings with elves, and your mother is an expert in the field I dare say. Heh Heh! My boy, we really must talk. If you are still in town please stop by my home. We can celebrate in a proper fashion. Wonderful food, drink, and a warm bed. Much better than anything you would get in one of these lowly inns or daresay on the road. Eating while traveling is always a disappointment of the highest order. I enjoyed reading about your plans in your letter. Like father like son they say. Heh heh! Well my boy, I too have been working on a grand plan. There is a way we can aid each other. I would love your help and of course I could arrange for patronage of your voyage. Honestly though, you would do far better to remain in Mystemere aid me more fully in my plan. Your involvement will be greatly appreciated and of course the rewards would be vast. I should not put anything else in a letter, but rest assured that your father is well on his way to something very very big. With your help it will happen sooner and you'll be able to reap such benefits that are due to the son of a baron, heh heh. Hope to see you soon. Your father. Sir Rufus Reginald Thurgosadt
