I saw ye healn those sik people. I saw ye prayn to ol Talon. You be blessd by her. I think I know ye, and understand ya work. Ta time is comen soon. Ta Hord is pruf of it. Time will be wen ta ol Talon will come, and we be savd or be struk again, another ol cat-a-clis-im. Some think ol Ashy sent ta first big death, but now she want to finish it. I dont no. Mayhap ye no. 1 day I may ask ye. But for today I wach ye and listen. Prays to ol Ashy and ol Talon.

Written on a torn piece of what looks like a book page rolled into a tube and tied with twine. The ink is black. The handwriting is obviously hurried and the letters small.
