The Cat Lord (a.k.a. He Who Must Know, Fortune's Favorite)

"I doubt that you really do understand. For you see, I don't care what you did or what you plan to do. I only care about what happens now. And right now I am bored, and you are the cause. So I bid you good day sir, for the horizon shows more promise than you." With that, Emid turned from the the knight and made his way down the trail, striped tail held high and curious about what the next bend in the road might bring.
The arrogant knight did not realize that his brash behavior had soured the Cat Lord, and so Emid had pointed him down the incorrect path. It lead to certain doom, a doom the knight narrowly escaped. Forever after the knight rued the day he met Emid. As fortune would have it, the two would meet again. One as Mighty King with a missing eye and the other as an immortal hero.
