Justice Squad

The Justice Squad are the law enforcement employed by all member nations of the Anttanican Empire on the planet of Bo Kae. They are in charge of every aspect of criminal law below the actual lawmakers, apart from criminal defence. Different divisions of the Justice Squad deal with prevention, investigations, judicial, prison management and so on.
While the Justice Squad directly answer to their nation's government, ultimately they have to follow the laws laid down by the Empire, which are strict by nature and heavily biased against suspects. The most problematic law declares that, regardless of the evidence, the accused must take the punishment for a crime unless a more likely suspect can be identified. Prison sentences are rare for crimes not deemed "dangerous", the most likely reason being the high number of prosecutions against prison space. The sentence for non-violent theft, for instance, is usually a hefty fine--often calculated based on the value of the stolen goods.
