Refuge is an endless plane at the bottom of all realities. As shards of other universes trickle down they will inevitably be collected by the net that is Refuge's infinite scope. This has resulted in a chaotic world where many different lands, species, and ways of life collide in a tumultuous tide of order and disorder.
