Firebend

One of the largest city-states in The Avresan Repbulic, Firebend benefited greatly in the past due to a number of natural advatages in its location. It sits at the confluence of two great rivers with allows for the efficient import of raw materials from the western ends of the republic, while allowing finished goods to have been shipped east. This was critical in the days of war with the Kaelic Empire. Similarly critical was that Firebend wass located far enough from the front for saftey, but close enough to ensure timely delivery of goods. And finally FIrebend sits on the slopes of a large dormant volcano that provides the city with ample heating via the miracle of Gnomish geothermal technology.

With the war over Firebend has seen a number of the factories close, but many of the corporations that sprang up out of the war have manages to pivot to the manufacture of new more peaceful Gnomish gadgets.
