Naeheamar (Nay-hee-mar)
Naeheamar is the realm of temptation.
A large and vast city of gold. Shining and sparkling from a large orb full of liquid light and dark. Sloshing violently in an ever-warring mixture. Despite the size of the city, it is sparsely populated. Many of the buildings are blocked and most don't even have doors. The few that appear to have interiors are often scarcely filled, barely passing for a home or store. The locals are often skittish and sinister. They are often different races from the worlds of Shometria, but hardly ever answer how they ended up here. Constantly look over their shoulder, they speak of a "presence" and monstrous nightmares in the shade below. A few places in the city have gathered more people than others. Torches emanating a cool pale blue light sooth and relieve creatures of the torturous dreams. Sometimes a door, or rather a hatch, appears in the middle of a street, next to a building, or even inside a house. This hatch leads to the depths of untethered, uncontrolled, disorganized, consciousness or thought. Many ideas ebb and flow freely through this ocean. Naeheamar has the most direct door to another realm than the rest. A door leading to Sumadin. It is the most direct stable, albeit taking an arduous road. At the bottom of this ocean is a portal to the madness maze. Very few creatures can comprehend this realm in its purest form. The rest perceive rooms manifested by the dominating thought in a given area. An idea so strong that it creates physical floors, walls, and doors leading to the next. Creating a subterranean mega-complex. Filled with many nightmares and demons. The Governor of Naeheamar, Psuedes, is a troubled individual theirself. Locked away, no one can remember when they were last seen. Without the Governor of the realm, demons invaded the levels of conscious. Then invading the minds of mortals and their respective realms. Dealing in souls and trading with demons of the other levels. Gaining and striving for power amongst the other demons. Each vying for a place on The Crowned Court. The court makes up the 5 most powerful demons in the universe, four demonlords and one king. The Demonlords: Silvertongue, Irgath, the Academic, and Mastermind. With their King, The Presence. Each member of the court has their own kingdom of control in the conscious. Desiring expansion within Naeheamar, and outside it. It is often speculated that the dungeons and lairs many creatures have made were following demonic guidance in modeling them after the complex of thought.
