Demigods
Demigods are people who are the children of a god, but not their heir. Often, these people are extremely skilled in magic and inherit many of their divine parent's skills and for those that live among the gods, often enjoy the same kind of immortality the gods do.
All demigods have the ability to rightfully challenge a god's heir for the position by birthright, but doing so is very uncommon, as it often means challenging their own siblings.

Shared customary codes and values
As the very children of gods, demigods are more often than not closely linked to their divine parent's cults, generally being members of it themselves. Often, they are given elevated status within the cults as priests, warriors, or magicians, usually from their parent themselves if not as elected for such by their peers.
