Asha's Hollow

Asha's Hollow is a pool hidden under Lyra Castle. It is a significant location for Vessels of Asha.

Getting There

Asha's Hollow has two entrances: one is hidden in the shrine to Asha in Lyra's oldest temple. The other is hidden in a robing room of Lyra Castle that is adjacent to the throne room. Both entrances require a form of Asha's light, either from a purified torch blessed by a shaman of the Four, or from the power of an awakened Vessel of Asha. Both entrances lead into an unlit, narrow tunnel with no branching paths that empty out into Asha's Hollow.

Structure

Asha's Hollow is carved from the rock underneath Lyra Castle. The Hollow is a round room with exits on opposite sides. Around the top edge of the wall is a row of torches illuminating the edges of the room. On the southern side of the room, there is a bench lit by a single torch, and a small stack of towels left by the shamans. The northern side of the room is occupied by a pool of water, roughly two-thirds the size of the entire room. The water is spring fed, and stays at a warm temperature. Close to the northern wall of the room is a massive statue of Asha, kneeling in the pool of water and weeping the spring water into her cupped hands. Floating on the water's surface are wooden dishes with votive candles.
