Kord

Kord the Mighty is the iconic god of strength, athleticism, courage, honor, war, and storms. Kord has an epic reputation among the gods. Among mortals he is well-respected by warriors of all kinds. At the most essential level, for the ideas gods are constructed of, Kord a god of the realization of the ideal self. This individualism aligns him Chaotic. The religions for him, Kordism, have a strong monastic tradition. Monks in monasteries dedicated to Kord devote themselves to honing their bodies and minds to the utmost, and follow the Way of the Open Hand.
The remote Aegis Gymnasium is a kordite training academy for his warrior clerics and the fearsome Immortal warriors. Kordite clerics are considered invaluable members of elite battle units around the world, although they also make a strong point of keeping those same units on a path of ethical warfare.
Some Kordites hope to find glory of some kind in their lives. This is not necessarily found in battle, although that is often the case. The belief is that by noteworthy acts they may prove their realization of their best self, and in death their soul may be gathered to the warm houses and beautiful landscapes Kord calls home in Ysgard.
