In the beginning on Grezaghar, the creation races did not worry about time and had no real interest in it so most intelligence races did not try to come up with a way of measuring it. While Exius lived among the various races he knew that the inhabitants of the land were not living up to the potential that the Goddesses envisioned for them.
After returning from Zuhiri Exius decided to create a way to measure and track time. Drawing from his experience with living among the races he created what is known today as the Almanac of Exius.
The Almanac broke down the structure of the day, week, and month. Exius hope that developing an easy to understand system that intelligent races would implement it.
Upon creating the final version of the almanac Exius went back to various settlements that he lived and started to teach the system. This is considered the starting point of the Age of Awareness.
