Visual Description

This potion is housed in a spherical glass vessel suspended within an intricate lattice of brass rings. The rings rotate slowly, independently of one another, as if orbiting the bottle by unseen force. Arcane runes pulse faintly across the metal in rhythm with the user's heartbeat when held.

Inside the orb swirls a liquid with no fixed shape—a roiling mass of nebula-violet, deep cobalt, and flickering starlight. It looks like the night sky bottled and made alive. Tiny glimmers occasionally form arcane sigils or constellations, visible for a second before vanishing back into the flow.

The stopper is shaped like an open eye, forged from obsidian with a silver pupil that always seems to look just past you.

Effect

Upon drinking this potion, the user regains one expended spell slot of up to 5th level.

• If the user has no empty spell slots, the potion has no effect.
  
  
• The spell slot restored is the highest-level slot they currently have expended, up to 5th.
  
  
• If multiple slots of equal level are expended, one is restored at random.

• After regaining a spell slot, the drinker must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw.
  
  
• On a failure, they suffer 1 level of exhaustion as arcane feedback rattles their mind.
