"Celestial of Skies" Saphira Crystallis

Though Saphira is larger than most Celestials, her size is considered contradicting in comparison to her age. She is known as the youngest Celestial to be, but after having her Celestial Affinity stabilised, she has been able to prove her strength and intent. Saphira watches over Boundless Ether, ensuring its safety. Though she holds a friendly personality, like Vertex, Saphira has much shyer disposition, due to having secluded herself in the skies for so long in the past. She is only a year younger than Vertex, and is strongly attached to her, while struggling to converse with others as she feel too awkward and embarrassed to do so.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Saphira has a large, feathered serpentine body – as large as a Falcon-class airship. Though she does have scales, the majority of her body is donned by shining feathers. The patterns on her feathers show gradients of blue and green colourations – predominantly turquoise. She has a set of two large wings at her upper body, and a slightly smaller set of wings at her lower body. Deep blue crystals spiral around her, flowing through a faint blue aura. She also has three tails with feathers decorating the tips. More feathers with darker patterns than the rest of her body resemble a crown atop her head, while her eyes are a pristine gold. She has four feet, two at her upper body and two at her lower.

Special abilities

Being the Celestial of Skies, Saphira is able to manipulate the skies with precision - from the wind itself to even the weather and air density. She can travel swiftly with ease and control the crystals which surround her body. The crystals hold massive portions of her own Essence , being able to be utilised in a number of ways. With the mass of Essence packed inside each one, they can either be unleashed to dish out a powerful blow, or be used for Channelling.

Personal history

When Saphira was born, shaped from the skies only 12 years before the early stages of the first Corrupt incursion, the Boundless Ether and the previous Quetzalcoatl sought to choose her as the next Celestial. When the time came, she was flooded with the Celestial of Skies Affinity, despite her young and frail body. Unable to wield it well, for many days the skies became ruthless, unsafe for those of Eldoria and Corrupt alike, until Ignis took it upon himself to quell Saphira's magic. She has since then found it difficult to face others, ashamed of her incapability back then, but ever since has protected the Boundless Ether to the best of her ability.

Saphira loves spending time with Vertex, and having visitors up in the Boundless Ether - despite her anxiety. She dislikes fights, unless she must, but also hates feeling helpless.
