"Celestial of Flames" Ignis Cor (a.k.a. King of the Canyon of Flames)

Ignis stands as the Celestial of Flames, and the King of the Canyon of Flames. He protects all its inhabitants and welcomes all who wish to visit or seek homage in his land. He's often caring but can be strict to those he watches over. Ignis is also well-known for being the longest-living Celestial. He often feels that he must stand to protect all that he can, and since abandoning Kaenrae sees it immoral to stray from standing together with one-another. He portrays a father figure toward Mythriln, Valdus and Kaenrae.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Ignis's body length is 25 m from head-to-tail. His wingspan is about 23 m when spread out. He has amber horns, bright red scales, and a beige underbelly. The membranes of his wings are of a fiery orange. When utilising his Celestial form, his fire remains the same colour, and becomes much more vibrant. When using this power, fire spirals around his body, and his chest begins to appear like magma. There, the Celestial Orb resides inside his chest.

Special abilities

Ignis is greatly attuned to the Flamma Base Affinity, and also wields the Ancestral Key Affinity. He is able to control Flamma to an immensely high degree, being able to manipulate fire or drastically increase the temperature of the vicinity around himself. Being the Celestial of Flames, he can change the temperature of the entire Canyon of Flames at will, as well. Furthermore, he can even imbue others with his flames. He can also utilise his Ancestral Key Affinity to reforge his entire Essence into a trinket, which passes on all of his strength almost tenfold to those who hold it.

Personal history

In the past, Ignis took care of Valdus's father, Erenum, and Kaenrae's father, Umbra. During those times, Ignis never told Kaenrae about his father. After the Corruption outbreak, Ignis was left with no other option than to burn Erenum and Umbra away, as they had become Fallen after death. In his rage, he let out an eruption of his Essence, creating the Canyon of Flames, and becoming the Celestial of Flames. He blamed himself for Erenum and Umbra's deaths and cast Kaenrae away in hopes that the lone Blight Dragon would find safety elsewhere.

Mental Trauma

Having held onto the guilt of Erenum and Umbra’s deaths ate away at Ignis, and now he finds himself worrying about the worst of outcomes, especially when it comes to Valdus and Kaenrae. Having lived for so long has also had a heavy toll on him.

Ignis loves celebrating and adores every moment when those he cares for are enjoying themselves. He also enjoys interacting with others quite a lot, especially Mythriln, Valdus and Kaenrae. Ignis dislikes most acts of recklessness, and any quarrels with others.
