This quippy title has become the common name for a series of lawsuits and criminal charges against more than two dozen "heroes" that were members of the Costumed Unit of the Neohuman Tactical Squad.
While rumors and complaints had been lodged in multiple countries for years, Fledermaus and Atomic Andy were charged with treason and conspiracy in German and the US at the same time for their involvement in a plot to cause multiple nuclear reactor destabilizations across both countries. Other countries also had pending charges for the impact that plan would have had in their territory. As the investigation and trial rolled out more and more members of the Costumed Unit became imbroiled in various scandals.
Some have claimed from the outset that this was a move by the nations of the world to attempt to undercut KAREN provided Neohuman forces being more widely relied upon as an ad hoc vigilante rapid response force in place of state and federal forces. The fact that there have not been laws passed or appeals made to the Security Committee undercuts this idea, however. All of the accused had their hero licenses revoked from both national and corporate registries. All sentences are to be served in
. Dimensional Exile is enforced by the Stability Committee.

Much of the publicity at the time focused on the fact that many of the charges levied against these fallen heroes were from activities that they took while under the auspices of disrupting other crimes and were considered by many to be "standard operating procedures" for many licensed heroes.
During and following these various trials, many other licensed hero company saw many heroes leave due to "early retirement" or similar personal issues. Consequently the last year has seen a large turnover in the current licensed hero registers on both national and corporate levels
