Izora Yvonne Wood (a.k.a. Sovereign Gold)

Sovereign Gold is a significant and divisive figure in the history of Neohuman rights. Originally known as Izora Yvonne Wood, Sovereign Gold was known since childhood as a rabble rouser and community organizer. Prior to the NAP she was known as a union organizer in San Francisco during World War II.
Sovereign Gold was known to have Neohuman expressions that allowed her to fly, super strength on the multi-ton scale, and massively powerful telepathic force. Due to her robustness and spread of powers, unusual for someone that aquired abilities during the NAP, many accuse her of being an early Exo despite the well-documented history of her life.

Personal history

Izora Wood was born in Naperville, Illinois to Harold and Yvonne Wood on January 11, 1939. Her childhood was relatively normal. According to what school and medical records can be found from this time she was tall for her age but thin. Her grades were fairly good and she was reportedly well liked by the classmates and teachers. Sometime during World War II the family moved to the Alamo Square neighborhood of San Francisco.
She was eight years old when the NAP occured, although her Neohuman expresssions did not manifest until shortly after her thriteenth birthday. Throughout her teenage years she was often involved in various protest movements against both Neohuman subjugation and Human abuse. Her eighteenth birthday took place in the early stirrings that would develop into the Chaos. Due to her flight and telepathy she was a natural public face of the Neohuman movement. She spent significant time working with other civil rights leaders, and her rhetoric and inflammatory talking points were modeled after Malcolm X. During this time her political view shifted towards a position of Human/Neohuman separation via the foundation of a Neohuman homeland.
Sovereign Gold was an early and very vocal supporter of the Stability Committee and recognized that the creation of Avskildhet was the best opportunity for the Neohuman homeland that she had been pushing for. As soon as she could, she lead the largest wave of Neohuman immigration that Avskildhet has ever seen.
