Session 23

General Summary

A Debt for the Dragonblood

The Nameless Ones head inside the busy streets of Az'ea where Yippity begins to search for the individual he dubs "Belsier" who Bizzle lost his heirloom to in a gambling match. The group begin by trying to head to the Sapphire Sky District believing the Diamond Sands Casino to be the place to find their target. They reach the stairs up to the Sapphire Sky District only to be stopped by some city guards. These guards state they need an upper city pass. To acquire one of these passes, they need to get in favour of a lord, or acquire 2000 gold coins each to buy one. Deciding the price is too steep, they simply ask guards directions to the target, to which the guards correct Yippity stating that if he is after Zoroan Kelsear they can be found in the Dragonfang Keep in the Emerald Entryways District.

The Lord of Dragonfang

The group head to Dragonfang Keep and ask the guards outside for an audience with Zoroan Kelsear. The guards inquire about the names of the group and Yippity mentions Stolas's last name. One of the guards goes inside and after a short time they are welcomed within.

The group is escorted to a large throne room with waterfalls and small rivers running throughout. Sat atop a throne on a raised part of the hall is Zoroan Kelsear. Zoroan welcomes the group and addresses Stolas in particular, stating that it has been a long time since a Burakh has graced her halls. Stolas responds hoping that it will not be the last time, but quickly pushes Yippity forward to proceed with the groups primary focus.

Yippity steps forward and makes his claim to Zoroan that the relic they posses is a family heirloom that Yippity should be given back as is his right. Zoroan then counters that this "heirloom" of his is actually a Divine Relic from the time of the Divine Wars, unsure however to whom it belongs. Zoroan claims that the goblins who originally possessed this clearly did not know the importance of what they had. After some debate, a deal is struck. Yippity (with the help of the nameless ones) must complete three favours for Zoroan to acceptable outcomes.

The First Favour

Starting off, Zoroan immediately cashes in their first favour. They request that The Nameless Ones attend a masquerade ball where they must eavesdrop on chatter and secrets throughout the evening. They must also deliver a sealed letter to Shahina Sunstep, one of the other Azean Lords. They must do these tasks discreetly without giving away who they work for.

While talking about this, the group spot large Golems disguised as statues in this chamber. Upon inquiry Zoroan states that it wasn't too long ago that a Burakh tried to kill them in this chamber, so protection is a must. They ask Stolas what his intent within the city is and Stolas replies truthfully that he wishes to learn more about his family and hopefully bring back his family name within the city. Zoroan claims that if Stolas truly wishes to gain his family's reputation back within the city, they are the best lord to work for.

The group are given lodgings and a budget for the masquerade ball within the Pyramid. They stay the night in Dragonfang Keep and get tailored outfits made for them. The group rest and return to Zoroan at a dinner table.
