Session 10: Krezk Report
General Summary
The party has had some comings & goings.
The party is currently:
So far the party has went through Durst Manor, gone to the Village of Barovia.
Met Ismark & drank with him. They went to his place Ireena was there. Strahd visited & they held the funeral for Kolyan Indirovich. Jax murdered three vistani to collect their blood to use against vampires.
Strahd visited Ireena after the funeral & professed his love for her.
Ismark asked if they could check out the well & check around for possible reasins why people were disappearing from town.
The well was cleared of zombies & it was discovered that the Donavich was feeding people to his son Doru. Who was turned into a vampire a year earlier. He joined a rebellion an outsider wizard had begun.
Doru escaped & went towards Castle Ravenloft.

Your enemy is a creature of darkness, whose powers are beyond mortality. This card will lead you to him!
He dwells with the one whose blood sealed his doom, a brother of light snuffed out too soon.
They then travelled to Vallaki & were able to find a place to rest at thd Blue Water Inn. They gave wine they found outside Durst Manor.
They came ot Vallaki Found out their were many laws there.
The Legal Code of the Township of Vallaki

To ensure the continued peace and prosperity of the Great and Joyous City of Vallaki and the security of its fi ne citizens, all visitors and residents shall comply with these laws in addition to those observed by common custom within the Valley of Barovia.
Concerning Entry into the Great and Joyous City of Vallaki
FIRST
All visitors to and residents of the Great and Joyous City of Vallaki are required to register with the city guard, and registration papers must be kept on one’s person, at all times, while within Vallaki walls. Persons found without registration papers are subject to immediate arrest and a fi ne of no less than one (1) gold piece.
*Repeated instances of non-possession of registration papers, or intentional destruction or forgery of the same, is chargeable as Malicious Unhappiness.
*Loss or unintentional destruction of registration papers must be declared to the town guard immediately, and papers will be replaced at the cost of one (1) silver piece, paid by the registrant.
SECOND
All Packs, Packages, and Transports are subject to search at random.
THIRD
All Weapons must be declared to the city guard upon entry to the Great and Joyous City of Vallaki, under the name and identity of the possessor.
FOURTH
No entry will be granted to any individual to the Great and Joyous City of Vallaki during the night hours, except upon a showing of exigent circumstances and clear and convincing evidence that said individual is neither agent of, nor spawn of, nor in league in any fashion with, The Devil.
FIFTH
Under no circumstances shall entry into the Great and Joyous City of Vallaki be granted to known agents and retainers of The Devil, including those folk who refer to themselves as Vistani. Knowingly granting entry into Vallaki to said individuals is punishable by seizure of the criminal’s goods and permanent exile.
On Crime and Punishment
The severity and duration of all sentences shall vary depending on the severity of the crime and the intent of the off ender.
On Public Executions
If an off ender is sentenced to hang from the gallows, they shall first be imprisoned in the stocks for no more than twenty four (24) hours to serve as a public example, and shall be subsequently executed on the next morning following their arrest.
Malicious Unhappiness
FIRST
When referring to the tyrannical individual who lairs within Castle Ravenloft, using their given name is forbidden within Vallaki. None shall speak this name aloud or carry written documents bearing this name. If this individual must be mentioned, they shall be referred to simply as The Devil.
SECOND
A Festival is held each week in the town square to celebrate the continued prosperity and security of our Great and Joyous town, and to show our support and appreciation for his Eminence the Baron Vargas Vallakovich.
THIRD
Attendance at all festivals is mandatory. The Baron’s wise decrees have kept The Devil at bay and his guidance shall return our lands into the grace of the Morninglord. May we once again feel the warmth of the sun.
FOURTH
None may speak ill of any festivals, nor hold any documents that present them in an ill light. Happiness is the key to Vallaki’s safety, and any resident or visitor that threatens to harm morale also threatens to harm Vallaki as a whole!
FIFTH
All residents, and any visitors staying within Vallaki for longer than five (5) days shall assist with all festivals within Vallaki, such assistance including but not limited to preparations and clean-up.
Punishment of Malicious Unhappiness
Any citizen or visitor who breaks these laws shall be charged with Malicious Unhappiness, which bears a punishment of no less than two (2) and no more than twelve (12) days of public humiliation in the stocks, and/or a fine not to exceed five (5) gold pieces.
Repeated offenses of Malicious Unhappiness are punishable by commitment to the Vallakovich Reformation Center.
Greater Crimes
FIRST
Theft of coin or property from a Vallaki citizen or visitor, the criminal shall:
*Not exceeding one (1) gold piece stolen, bear a punishment of one (1) day of public humiliation, a period of Reformation, and other suitable reparations. *Exceeding one (1) gold piece stolen, bear a punishment of no less than six (6) and no more than twenty-four (24) days public humiliation, a period of Reformation, and other suitable reparations.
SECOND
Theft of coin or property from a Vallaki noble house, or malicious slander of the same, is punishable by seizure of the criminal’s goods and permanent exile from Vallaki.
THIRD
Public brawling, disorderliness, and disruptions to the common peace shall bear a punishment of no less than two (2) and no more than twelve (12) days of public humiliation in the stocks, to be followed by a period of Reformation. In addition, if property is destroyed or devalued as a consequence of the criminal’s actions, this crime may carry an additional sentence of enforced community service to make amends for the value of the property.
FOURTH
Major injury to a Vallaki citizen is punishable by seizure of the criminal’s goods and permanent exile from Vallaki.
FIFTH
The manslaughter or murder of a Vallaki citizen is punishable by public hanging.
SIXTH
Major injury to, manslaughter, or murder of a non-Vallaki citizen is punishable by a fine not to exceed one hundred (100) gold pieces. However, this fine may be waived and all charges dropped if it can be proven that the deceased was an agent of The Devil.
SEVENTH
Any who comfort or provide aid to a criminal shall take upon themselves a similar sentence to the criminal they have aided. Any who assist a criminal to escape justice shall be publicly hanged upon the gallows.

They then went back to the Windmill with Ismark & retrieved the broken hilt of the sunsword from the old women who lived there. They didn't open their door & had Orion pay for it with his blood.
They had dinner with Strahd, who asked them many questions about their past & shared with them a fine meal. Then took them on a tour that ended with Strahd stating that his offer of hospitality recinds at midnight & it only applied to him, his brides, & his Rahadin.
They took the carriage back to the gates of Barovia & made their way back to Vallaki.
They then headed to The Wizard of Wines & cleared it out for the Martikov's.
They then headed to A Vistana, Ireena, & Rain arrived on the scene. The party (name TBD) were successful in preventing the ritual by the Druids.
Strahd engaged the party in combat & they survived if Fenan did not. +0.5
Strahd teleported out when Anatraysa was at about 1/4 health.
Stefania Martikov told the party that the Druids sold her son Martin to Baba Lysaga.
Arturi asked them if they'd heard of Rudolph Van Richten the party lied & told him they didn't know him.
Micheal spoke with Kavan & he told him of his spear. Micheal took the spear & attuned to it. +0.25
The Party returned to the Wizard of Wines & gave them back the least of the Wizard of Wines gems. +0.5
Davian told the Party the location of the Fanes, & the powers they give.
Davian told them that each of the fanes was corrupted by Strahd's perversion of them. He'd teach them how to cleanse them, & how to attune to them.
David told them that his family's curse of being Were-Ravens was a secret, & told them that his family was the Order of the Feather. They were fighting a losing battle against Strahd using guerilla tactics.
Davian mentioned that Strahd has been defeated several times previously, & that Baba Lysaga sang a Lullaby they wanted to see if it had any effect on Strahd.
Muriel is one of them.
They rested over a day, & went to Krezk with the wine shipment. [+.025]
They found the caravan that Vasili asked them to find, he told them to keep the money, & armor (he said magical). He only wanted the logbook. Once there Dimitri Krezkov asked them to bring him the head of Whiteclaw to prove themselves.
They scouted & found Whiteclaw's lair.
Frank wanted to talk & Rain took advantageous position with Adon.
Whiteclaw was had dark brown skin & white hair. She had two polar bears with her, a brown & black bear.
She told Frank that she killed people because she thought it fun, & she wanted to get back at her dumb ass brother.
She was an Arkoudathrope & turned into her hybrid form, combat ensued.
Ezmerelda surprised Arturi she laughed. She being invisible.
They were victorious against Whiteclaw, cut her head off. Ezmerelda & Arturi told them they were weren't going to Krezk, something felt off about the location.
They were allowed in the city, & learnt that their were no shops in Krezk. It was a communal town built on working together & so it's economy was based more on barter & need than anything else. The village tended to keep animals in their homes.
The party felt the cold of the mountain air in the snow.
They found the pool & Sergei von Zarovich appeared before them & told them of hwo his brother Strahd von Zarovich stabbed him with a Ba'al Versi dagger on the day of Sergei's wedding to Tatyana. He took the sunsword & told Orion to put it in the water. He did & it purified the area, & some drank from the pool.
They went ot the Abbey & met with the Abbot who revealed himself as a Deva & mentioned that he wanted to skin Ireena & put her skin onto Vasilka. A flesh golem he crafted.
They found a tome that improves wisdom in the library along with a tome on the contruction of flesh golems.
