Realms Tagging
Most Important Tag
Above all, the most important tag is the articleIndex-# tag. It is what will make it so the Article Index remains functional. Replace the # with the first letter of the article. This includes an articles starting with THE having the articleIndex-T tag.
articleIndex-#
Building / Landmark
All buildings need a buildingSETTLEMENT tag to help group them together under each settlement easily. So as an example, a building known named Anchovies within Azulan would be buildingAzulan articleIndex-A.
buildingSETTLEMENT, articleIndex-#Character
For characters, there are several tags to make it a bit complicated. Character type can be one of three characterPlayer, characterNPC, or characterDivine. If they are a Player or NPC you use sophontSOPHONT such as sophontBriarElf. If they are Divine, you need to have divineRANK such as divineArchangel. If they are a diety (LesserGod, God, Exarch, etc.) they also need their Domains listed as domainDOMAIN such as domainRage. Make sure to list all of their Domains.
characterTYPE, sophontSOPHONT, divineRANK, domainDOMAIN, articleIndex-#Condition
Very simple, just use conditionRealm to denote which realm it originates from such as conditionRavarus.
conditionREALM, articleIndex-#Document
Very simple, just use documentRealm to denote which realm it originates from such as documentRavarus. We may add a way to have the author of the Document, but many of them do not have authors.
documentREALM, articleIndex-#Ethnicity
Very simple, just use ethnicityRealm to denote which realm it originates from such as ethnicityRavarus. Folk require you to add pageFolk
ethnicityREALM, articleIndex-#Generic
Still working on these. It is best practice to avoid Generic articles.
???, articleIndex-#Geography / Location
This likely is the most complicated one yet. To start, use locationTYPE to denote the type of location. This most often is things like Realm, continent, or anything else on the Geographical Hierarchy but can also be lake or island. Then, you reuse this type in typeREALM such as continentRavarus.
locationTYPE, typeREALM, articleIndex-#Item
Still working on these. At minimal, we need itemREALM such as itemRavarus.
itemREALM, articleIndex-#Law
Use lawREALM such as lawRavarus. For cosmos wide laws, use lawCosmos.
lawREALM, articleIndex-#Language
This one might be painfully complex, for now just stick to the articleIndex-# for now.
???, articleIndex-#Material
Needs better detailing, use materialREALM for now. We might get very specific about this one if we end up with a lot of materials.
materialREALM, articleIndex-#Military Conflict
We currently have 3 of these. Seems like it could be a complex one, but for now, conflictRealm, such as conflictRavarus seems fine.
conflictREALM, articleIndex-#Military Formation
Needs better detailing, use formationREALM for now.
formationREALM, articleIndex-#Myths / Legends
Needs better detailing, use mythREALM for now.
mythREALM, articleIndex-#Organization
This article type might need to be revised. Because we are using organizationTYPE we aren't able to use organizationREALM without it overlapping with tagged lists. So, instead, it is realmOrganization-REALM. This seems very messy.
organizationTYPE, realmOrganization-REALM, articleIndex-#Profession
Needs better detailing, use professionREALM for now.
professionREALM, articleIndex-#Prose
Absolutely hate this template. Don't use it.
articleIndex-#Rank
Needs better detailing, use rankREALM for now. It would be nice to have a way to assign them to a certain organization, but that might get overly specified.
rankREALM, articleIndex-#Session Report
We have never used this.
articleIndex-#Settlement
Several tags to fill out for this one. For typeSettlement set the type as town, captital, hamlet, etc. So capitalSettlement as an example. Then settlementREALM is easy to understand. Then for settlementExpanse-EXPANSE should be based on the expanse is found in, such as settlementExpanse-Verdant.
typeSettlement, settlementREALM, settlementExpanse-EXPANSE, articleIndex-#Species
For this, speciesTYPE will be so many things such as Cow, or Elk, or Elemental. However, if the type ends up being speciesSOPHONT you need to add folkFOLK such as folkMan for a Manfolk sophont. Then add realmSpecies-REALM in a similar way to how Settlements are done.
If this one is too vague, we can try and redo it.
speciesTYPE, folkFOLK, realmSpecies-REALM, articleIndex-#Spell / Ability
We have never used this. Should we?
articleIndex-#Story Plot
I have tried to use these, end up using Google Docs instead often.
articleIndex-#Technology
For finding out the technologyTYPE check the Technology category for the list of types such as, technologyArtifice. The rest should be pretty easy to understand by now.
technologyTYPE, realmTechnology-REALM, realmIndex-#Ritual / Tradition
Needs better detailing, use ritualREALM for now.
ritualREALM, articleIndex-#Vehicle
For vehicleTYPE, use whatever type of vehicle you think it closely resembles such as a train or a carriage. The realmVehicle-REALM is just something like realmVehicle-Ravarus.
vehicleTYPE, realmVehicle-REALM, articleIndex-#
