Harengon
Harengons originated in the Feywild, where they spoke Sylvan and embodied the spirit of freedom and travel. In time, these rabbitfolk hopped into other worlds, bringing the fey realm’s exuberance with them and learning new languages as they went.
Harengons are bipedal, with the characteristic long feet of the rabbits they resemble and fur in a variety of colors. They share the keen senses and powerful legs of leporine creatures and are full of energy, like a wound-up spring. Harengons are blessed with a little fey luck, and they often find themselves a few fortunate feet away from dangers during adventures.

Basic Information
Anatomy
Harengons are bipedal, with the characteristic long feet of the rabbits they resemble and fur in a variety of colors. Their ears can be up to half the size of their bodies. They usually stand between 3’-5’ tall and weigh about 50-120lbs. Ears are not counted when calculating the height of a harengon.
Genetics and Reproduction
Harengons are compatible with other harengons and rodenkin. As is often the case, any mixed offspring will favor the mother genetically.
Growth Rate & Stages
Harengons have a life span of about a century.
Ecology and Habitats
In the Feywild they act nomadically, moving from place to place and tracking down whatever they find interesting in the moment. Much the same can be said about their time on the material plane. The harengon people are adaptive enough to be able to travel and bed down wherever they may find themselves.

Civilization and Culture

Harengons can find beauty in all the usual places. Some prefer physical beauty, while others see inner beauty as preferable.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Common and Aniken. Many will learn a third language that is commonly spoken from wherever they hail or travel.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Harengons have a tradition of keeping journals or diaries that are passed down and added to by each generation. When an elder harengon decides to stop traveling they will choose a successor to continue their story. Because of this long-standing tradition, harengons are often sought out as bookkeepers and historians.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Some people mistake harengons as members of the general rodenkin race, but time has led to them becoming distinct from their cousins.
