Faction Description
The Vecnian Dynasty, ruled by the Immortal Emperor Vecna and his chosen disciples, is a theocratic regime that governs the Shontari Drow with an iron fist. Embracing the worship of death and the pursuit of ultimate power, the Vecnian Dynasty enforces strict adherence to Vecna's teachings and commands unwavering loyalty from its subjects.

Vecna- Overall Leader
- Title- The Imortal Emporer, The Whispered One
- Physical Description: Vecna's once imposing figure is now hunched and frail, his form draped in tattered robes that hang loosely from his skeletal frame. His eye sockets are sunken and haunted, reflecting a lifetime of sorrow and penance. Despite his diminished appearance, there is still a lingering aura of ancient power that surrounds him, a reminder of the dark deeds of his past.
- Personality: Vecna has become a shadow of his former self, withdrawn and resigned to his fate. He carries the weight of his sins heavily, haunted by the memories of his past atrocities. No longer driven by ambition or desire for power, Vecna now exists in a state of quiet contemplation and regret. He is distant and aloof, speaking rarely and only when necessary, as if burdened by the weight of his own existence.
- Motives: Vecna's motives have shifted from conquest and dominion to atonement and redemption. He seeks to repent for the sins of his past, to undo the harm he has caused and make amends for the lives he has taken. However, he is kept alive by his underlings, who fear losing control of the dynasty without his leadership. Despite his desire to fade into obscurity, Vecna remains tethered to his role as the figurehead of the Vecnian Dynasty, trapped in a cycle of eternal suffering and regret.
Corvyne-Leaders Right hand
- Title/Role: The Hand of Vecna, Chief Enforcer and Assassin
- Physical Description: Corvyn cuts a menacing figure, his tall and muscular frame clad in dark, form-fitting armor adorned with macabre symbols of Vecna's power. His features are sharp and angular, framed by a mane of midnight black hair that falls in untamed waves around his face. The absence of his left hand is replaced by a dark, metallic appendage crafted in the likeness of Vecna's own, a constant reminder of his unwavering allegiance to the Immortal Emperor. Corvyn's piercing blue eyes hold a glint of calculated menace, reflecting the cold and ruthless nature of his role.
- Personality: Corvyn is a shadowy figure, silent and stoic, his actions speaking louder than words. He is a master of stealth and subterfuge, capable of moving unseen and striking with deadly precision. Driven by a singular devotion to Vecna, Corvyn carries out his duties with ruthless efficiency, showing no mercy to those who oppose the will of the Immortal Emperor. While he may lack the charm and charisma of his sister, Jasmyne, Corvyn commands respect through fear and intimidation, instilling dread in the hearts of Vecna's enemies.

Jasmyne- Leaders Right hand
- Title/Role: The Eye of Vecna, Vecna's Delegate and Chief of Intelligence
- Physical Description: Jasmyne possesses a commanding presence, her slender figure adorned in regal attire befitting her esteemed position. Her ebony skin is accentuated by intricate silver jewelry, bearing the sigils of Vecna's authority. Her left eye is a blood red crimpson, Vecna's eye, which serves as a constant reminder of her connection to the Immortal Emperor. With piercing gaze that betray a keen intellect and cunning nature, Jasmyne commands attention wherever she goes.
- Personality: Jasmyne embodies a blend of poise and ruthlessness, navigating the treacherous political landscape of the Vecnian Dynasty with calculated precision. As Vecna's official representative and delegate, she exudes confidence and authority, instilling fear and respect in those who dare to cross her path. Her allegiance to Vecna is unwavering, and she carries out his will with unwavering loyalty and devotion. As the chief spy and intelligence officer of the dynasty, Jasmyne operates in the shadows, gathering information and rooting out dissent with ruthless efficiency.

Shogun Kas- Supreme Millitary Commander
Faction belief/dogma
- The Vecnian Dynasty preaches the supremacy of death as the ultimate authority and the path to enlightenment. Followers are indoctrinated to believe that only through submission to Vecna and the Deathless and the embrace of death can they attain true power and transcendence.
- Upon Death, your soul is taken into a Raken (Soul Lanturn), adn then gifted to a Dethless, who uses the soul to extend their life and increase their power. The greater value put on your own life, the higher rank of Deathless your soul is given to, with the greatest and most honorful being gifted to Vecna himself on rare ocasions.
Faction Goals
- The primary goal of the Vecnian Dynasty is to expand its influence and dominion over the land, subjugating all who oppose Vecna's will and establishing a reign of eternal darkness.
- They seek to eradicate dissent and spread Vecna's teachings to all corners of the continent, converting or subjugating those who resist.
- They also seek to ensure Vecna's continuation of life, often requiring mortal sacrifices of souls.
Faction strength and influence
- The Vecnian Dynasty commands formidable military power, bolstered by zealous devotees and powerful necromantic magic.
- They can exert control over vast territories through fear and coercion, wielding Vecna's authority to maintain order and quell any hint of rebellion.
- Native born Shontari drow are indoctrinated at a young age, and have a fanatical loyalty to the Dynasty as a whole and their Imortal emporer Vecna
Faction weakness/ limitations
- Despite their military might, the Vecnian Dynasty faces internal strife and dissent among its ranks, as ambitious followers vie for favor and influence within Vecna's court.
- Their isolationist policies and radical beliefs also alienate them from other factions, making alliances difficult to maintain.
- The people of this land are poor, and ruotinlu are asked to make personal sacrifices for the greater good, something that can be used as a source of resentment if they are able to overcome their fanatical dedication to the Dynasty.
- Vecna's divine status in their culture is vulnerable if anything could threaten it. To prove Vecna's mortality or infalubility would threaten thier entire governmental and beleif system.
- Though few if any would outright doubt or discredit the Imortal Emporer, some could be convinced to move against those representing him or other lower leaders within the faction as "acts of patritism against high level traitors, mis representing the Emporers Will"
Notable relations with other Factions
- The Vecnian Dynasty is viewed with suspicion and hostility by neighboring nations and factions, who see them as a dangerous and fanatical threat to regional stability. Tensions often erupt into open conflict, with Vecna's followers clashing with rival factions over territory and resources.
- The people of the Anubian Tundra is the closet they have to allies, as thier beleif systmes and opinions of dark magic align well.
- They are in constant conflict of intrest and beleif with herdlend to the south, and they are constantly on the verge of war.
Roles/ titles within the faction
- Deathless: High-ranking leaders, either in civil or millitary positions. Must have done something to gain the great honor of becoming Quasi Litches; a warlock like conection to Vecna that allows them to continue living and chanel some of his magic so long as Vecna Lives.
- Daimyo- Local rulers of providences and cities, the most powerful or inlfuencial may be granted the honor of becoming Deathless
- Hatamoto - members of the Order of Kas, who serve under the Shogun. They are themselves paladin litches, and are some of the greatest warriors and tacticians the Dynasty have.
- Soulweaver: Necromancers skilled in the manipulation of death energy, raising undead armies to serve Vecna's bidding.
- Inquisitor: Clerics and Paladins, who serve both as Preists and Interrogators tasked with rooting out heresy and dissent among Vecna's followers. The most fanatical of any in the Dynasty.
- Honorbound: the samuri warrior class, highly skilled and trained individuals, echo knights and samuri warriors.
- Liasions- Diplomats and represenatives sent out to other nations, but are often part of the inteligence network and are trained in all manor of stealth, sabotage, and assassination.
- Honorless- drow who had comitted a grave sin against Vecna and the Dynasty, who have been banished or have run into the outside world. There is none more despised, or who's fate is more tragic.
Possible Faction Rewards
- Joining the Vecnian Dynasty offers access to forbidden knowledge and dark magic, as well as the opportunity to wield authority and influence within Vecna's regime.
- Followers may receive blessings from Deathless or even Vecna himself, granting them enhanced abilities and protection in battle.
How to Join/gain favor with Faction
- To gain favor with the Vecnian Dynasty, one must demonstrate absolute loyalty to Vecna and his teachings, proving oneself willing to sacrifice everything in service to the Immortal Emperor.
- Performing acts of devotion, such as conducting rituals or eliminating enemies of Vecna, can earn recognition and advancement within the ranks of Vecna's disciples.
- Conducting oneself with honor, and in acroding to Vecnian teachings, will leave favorable impressions with those who serve within the Dynasty.
Other Notes
- The Path of Kas- a pilgrimage taken by the most promising of Honorbound when they are gifted a Sieto (Soulforge Blade), where they must defeat a great warrior from each nation on the continent, both symbolicly proving their supiriority, as well as taking the souls of these warriors into their blade to gain powers.
- Raken- a Soul Lanture, where slain souls are stored until they can be returned to the Dynasty, and gifted either to the Soul forge or to Deathless leadership. A Tama-raken (or Launtur Lighting) is a ritual perfromed to take a soul into the Lanturn.
- Seashin (Say-Shin)- a term given to those who die outsdie the Dynasty, whose souls are lost and not taken into a launtunr, and therefore wil nver be able to become part of the legacy of a Deathless.
