Forged in the divine courts beyond mortal reckoning, this sword is cold to the touch and heavier than steel alone should allow. The blade is etched with balancing scales, and has a distinctive squared end rather than a sharp point. when swung in righteous judgment, it rings like a gavel striking stone.
Initial Form: Sword of Binding Judgment (Level 10–13)

When you hit a creature with this weapon, you may expend a charge to force it to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 16). On a fail, it is paralyzed for 1 minute. It can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns. - Retribution’s Call (1/short rest):
As a reaction, when a creature within 30 feet harms an ally, you may teleport to that creature and immediately make a melee weapon attack. If it hits, the attack deals additional damage equal to your proficiency bonus. - Bearer of Verdicts:
When you speak as a judge or deliver a sentence (literal or metaphorical), you may add a d4 to any Charisma (Intimidation or Persuasion) check. The creature knows—whether by divine instinct or weight of presence—that you speak with lawful authority.
Awakened Form: The Executioner’s Blade of Divine Law (Level 17–20)
(Upon awakening, the blade glows with runic light when swung in righteous cause. Its edge no longer dulls, and its weight increases against the wicked.)

- You are immune to being charmed or frightened.
- You have advantage on saving throws against enchantment and compulsion effects, and cannot be magically forced to act against your alignment or principles.

Upgraded Features:
- Retribution’s Fury:
Retribution’s Call range increases to 60 feet. When triggered, it deals double your proficiency bonus in damage, and you may also impose disadvantage on the targets next attack roll. - Scales of the Divine:
Once per long rest, when you deal a killing blow to a creature judged unworthy (DM’s discretion: betrayers, oathbreakers, corrupt tyrants), radiant energy erupts from the blade. Enemies of your choice within 30 feet must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 18) or be blinded and restrained by radiant chains until the end of your next turn.
Awakening Trigger:
The Executioner’s Sword awakens when its wielder delivers judgment in a moment where justice must be upheld despite emotional, personal, or political cost—especially when doing so protects the innocent or prevents vengeance from overtaking law.
