She prefers to avoid direct confrontation whenever possible, using her innate spellcasting abilities to sow confusion and discord among her enemies. She will often employ deception and misdirection to gain the upper hand, luring her foes into traps or ambushes with promises of wealth or power. If forced into combat, Annie will use her shadow daggers to strike from the shadows, delivering devastating blows that drain the life force from her enemies. She is not above summoning undead minions to aid her in battle, using their spectral forms to harry her foes while she remains safely out of harm's way. Unique Equipment/Magic Items:
- Whisper's Gambit (Legendary Item): A cursed deck of playing cards that Annie uses to gamble with the years of others, maintaining her lichdom. Once per day, she can draw a card from the deck and force a target within 60 feet to make a DC 20 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, the target ages 2d4 years and Annie gains temporary hit points equal to 5x the years stolen. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and doesn't age, with Annie still receiving the temporary HP
- Shadow Cloak: A cloak that grants Annie advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and resistance to non-magical slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage.
Abilities:
- Lich's Resilience: Annie has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
- Master Manipulator: Annie has advantage on Charisma (Deception) and Charisma (Persuasion) checks when dealing with members of the Broken Crow gang or those under her influence.
- Whispers Gambit: see item description above, damade and temporary HP gain.
- Shadow Dagger Drain: throwing a dagger into a surface, the dagger exudes a necrotic energy, zapping the vitality of anyone nearby. Deals 2d4+2 necrotic damge (Dc 16 Con sav) at the top of each round for anyone within 10ft of a dagger. Daggers have a AC 10, and HP 1 to dislodge them.
Actions:
- Multiattack: Annie can make two attacks
- Legendary Attacks: she can make an attack at the end of each players turn, or use a Shadow Dagger Drain ability.
- Shadow Daggers: Melee or ranged (30/60ft) Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 4 necrotic damage.
- Summon Undead (Recharge 5-6): Annie summons a shadow or wraith to fight alongside her for 1 minute. The summoned creature acts on her initiative and obeys her commands, attacking her enemies to the best of its ability.
