Physical description
Afton Lyne is a tall, and very handsome silver fox in his mid 50's. Wears a differently colored outfit every day, but follows the same general format; a deep colored suit with complimentary bright colored sash around his waist and a stunning hat and feather combination with an expensive gold tipped walking cane (color combos include a deep red suit with a green or cyan sash, a deep green suit with a red sash, or a deep blue suit with a black with gold trim sash).
In his true rakshasa form, he keeps the well fit suit but drops the hat and cane.
History and agenda
Sumali works for Levistus as one of his most senior spies and agents on the material plane. In exchange for keeping the arch devil informed and providing him resources as needed, Levistus has put his minions on the plane at Sumali's service to use as needed. Sumali has taken advantage of this to more or less take over the trading town of Granlow in Gladria, forging alliances with cooperative businesses and making the uncooperative meet with terrible bad luck.
His goal is to amass power and wealth, something he has been doing very well with. He also thoroughly enjoys manipulating and humiliating his adversaries. Very rarely will he resort to killing, it is too obvious and straightforward. He prefers subtle manipulation to bring ruin to rivals businesses, forcing them to come begging to him for scraps before he absorbs them into his growing empire.
Fighting Strategy
He prefers not to fight at all, physical confrontations are too messy and there's very little challenge to them. He prefers to use money and influence to bring down his foes, or hire pawns to deal with annoyances that won't go away. However in the rare instances where it needs to be handled himself, his preference is assassination.
An all out brawl is not his style. If attacked by a group, he will do everything he can to escape to a better position, and use his influence to his advantage. Surrounding players with minions and finishing the job himself, or better yet sparing their lives but forcing them into his service in exchange. If that is impossible, he will try to escape and then use his substantial influence to frame the party and have the justice system solve his problems for him.
Abilities
- Limited Magic Immunity. The rakshasa can't be affected or detected by spells of 6th level or lower unless it wishes to be. It has advantage on saving throws against all other spells and magical effects.

The cursed target gains no benefit from finishing a short or long rest. The curse lasts until it is lifted by a remove curse spell or similar magic.
