Voren's Mounted Guard always resort to Héxīn formation at start of combat, and every turn after a charge upon Voren's Command. There will be 5 at combat start. They will never leave Voren's side. Each unit is individual, but an enemy can only breach the formation immediately following a charge, or by killing an enemy out of the formation. They will, as a last resort, sacrifice their lives to allow Voren to escape. Voren will always attempt to flee once he only has 3 guards or less, or upon determining the battle is lost. Attacks are regular full round/standard attacks and AoO's. They're normal, they just have nice equipment and a good leader. They drop 3 gold, and 1 Weapon roll for choice of sword, chest plate, legguards, vambraces, shield, spear, bow, But ONLY if players remember to search them after battle. All will be capped at 4 stats (Heroic).
