Tempest

Tempest is the Primal of the Elemental Plane of Air. This being takes the form of a massive couatl, terrifying in scale, and with a tremendous wingspan. Legend tells that each beat of its wings as it flies across the Plane of Air is what causes all the winds and gusts of the Prime Material, and that Tempest's anger causes all many of windstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes. 
Powerful in its own right, it is seen to be the overlord of the winds and the skies. It can sometimes be seen over a distant mountain peak, or over the endless expanses of ocean across Rakuen. Meeting this creature in the flesh is said to generate tremendous winds that can knock even the heaviest soul off their feet and into the air. It is also said that Tempest has a strange charm to it, one that seems to lure mortals toward it, but for what purpose it is unknown. Sailors in particular fear the Primals, and pray to it to keep it away during their long voyages; others pray in homage to it, wishing for the monsoon seasons, or calling upon Tempest to aid in the changing of the weather or seasons.
