Talrina
This is a story of the one we will all meet, one day.
Long ago, before the times of The Great Pillars and The Age of Eclipse, there was a bird. He was a black Raven, as dark as the sky, whom few admired. This Raven saw the world as a big empty place, full of empty people, all flightless and tied to the earth.
That was, until one day, when he met someone. They were the most beautiful Dove there was. He would watch the dove sore free and beautifully. Even more wonderous were the moments when Raven could sit with the Dove peacefully, by a small lake in the forest. The Dove made the Raven realize that those around him were filled with life. The people around him were not flightless; they were merely those that found their own ways to fly, their own ways to be free, and their own wind to glide on.
The Raven loved the Dove deeply, because of all that they showed them. And because of the true peace the Dove was able to give the Raven. But one day, the dove broke its wing, and got very sick. Eventually the Dove never came back to the lake that it shared with the Raven. The Raven refused to accept this, and screamed to the heavens to be reunited with his love. And one god answered.
Talrina, he called himself, spoke to the Raven, "Why do you call out like this? You had us worried. What troubles you?"
The Raven responded, "My Dove... They left and never came back... they were hurt."
"No, no, don't worry yourself. Your Dove has left this world and is with me now. As are all, in due time. I'm sorry for your loss."
The Raven shouted back furious, "How could you take my Dove from me? Give them back now!"
Talrina gave a soft smile to the Raven. "I did not take them. It was simply their time. We will all have that time come to us."
The Raven spoke, softer now, "But... But we were so happy together... I want to be with them again."
"And you shall my Raven friend." Talrina said proudly.
"What?"
Talrina then picked the Raven, patted his ruffled feathers, and eased his sorrows, gently, and softly.
"Love is something that lasts forever, longer than you can imagine. Love is not something that is gone just because the one you love is no longer here. Even now your Dove awaits you. Their love binds them to you."
"Then I can't make the Dove wait for me any longer. I have to get back to them!"
"No, no, no," reproached Talrina. "What about all the promises you made to the Dove? The promise to take care of the nest? Or the promise to tend to the garden?"
"I suppose you are right..." Raven said, a bit downtrodden.
Talrina then smiled, "Good. The Dove will be glad to hear that. A promise made is a promise kept. And worry not. When your time comes to move on as well, that is when you will be reunited."
Talrina placed the Raven back his nest, and disappeared into the morning mist.
Raven, devout to Dove, kept all of his promises. He worked hard tending to the garden and taking care of the nest. He grew beautiful flowers in the garden that Dove wanted to have, and Raven gave the flowers to others to brighten their days, just as Dove brightened his.
And one day, it was finally the Ravens time to go. He was not scared or sad, but happy that he would finally be able to see his Dove again. And so Talrina came through on their promise, and the two were reunited at a star-lit lake, beyond eternity. They shared a moment of comfort, being with each other once again.
After some time, Talrina approached them, and asked them a simple question: "Would you like to fall in love all over again?"
The two birds then looked to each other, and in sync nodded yes. Talrina smiled warmly, and gave a bow to the two birds, as a rainbow of light slowly encompassed them.
The birds then woke up, not what they used to be, but still similar. Mockinjay sang all manner of musics, while Pidgeon flexed their wings. But they awoke from their little eggs mere chicks, in different trees, in the thick of a forest with a familiar lake. And for just a moment, they lock eyes from across the branches, knowing not who the other was.
And yet somehow, there was a knowing gaze between them.
But, as they understood before, all in due time.

Holidays
Samhain: The day of darkness, Samhain (pronounced sow-in) occurs on the midway point between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. It is a pronouncement of the beginning of the darkest part of the year, and so The Cimmerian is thrown a large festival to help guide communities through this harsher part of the world. It is a night of guising and trickery; large bonfires are lit, and masquerading and guising are popular pastimes, as are drinking and revelry. This is also seen as a day where the dead, ghosts, and metaphysical beings more easily transit to-and-from the Prime Material, as it is seen as The Cimmerian is loosening his guard upon the darkness for a mere night. Talrina and Viatica are frequently seen playing upon the Prime Material, able to more freely interact with living souls on this day more than any.
Night of Last Light: On the last day of the Obon festival - commonly practiced by those of Ezo or Elvish decent - The Night of Last Light is a departing to all the souls. Wishing well to all departing souls, prayers are gifted to Talrina and Viatica for safe passage into the next life. In commemoration, paper lanterns with candles or oil wells upon them are lit, and then the lanterns are sent out down a river, into an open body of water, or the ocean. Where water is not available, paper lamps are constructed to be sent into the air as small blimps.

Personal history
Talrina, formerly Korva Thorne, is the god known for Reincarnation. After a full life of adventuring throughout Rakuen, involved directly in the events of Zinth and the summoning of Xerxes, Korva retired and built up a following in Asteris, The Astral City.
Korva was slain in the War in Heaven, whereupon he reincarnated through the drift, a process which he accidentally formed. He then claimed power over this as a celestial being, and now is charged with the guidance and movement of souls from the after life into future lives.
When Talrina does not serve within The Drift, he forcibly reincarnates himself to pursue that of his love, Ori Talrina. They consistently rebirth themselves throughout time, so that Talrina can orchestrate happy lives for the two of them many times over.
