Rhea and Iapetus

Once upon a time, there was a brother and sister. They sailed the seas, for the seas called them. But then, one day, they were caught in a terrible storm. It thrashed their vessel hither and tither, until all the boards had flown away. They were set adrift amongst the big, black sea, until a terrible whirlpool sucked them down, all the way to the very bottom.   And there they rested upon the ocean floor. And they learned something that day. The ocean was much more vast than they could have ever imagined. The ocean was like space, except a microcosm: infinitely vast, and yet hemmed in by its natural bounds; harsh in its ability to sustain life, and yet, so thriving with life all around. It supported even the tiniest fish in the ocean, and things so large one might mistake them for a god.   And so, drowned as they were, the brother and sister found a new purpose. They joined hands and began to dance, as if a whirlpool, on and on upon the deep ocean's floor, until they were one in the same, and yet forever different. And so they were, together forever, breathless and happy. Dance with them, on placid seas.
