Hanamura Tanaka

Hanamura Tanaka is the speaker of Umizu, and speak she does. Hanamura tries to learn enough of each language to have a conversation with native speakers, and delights in learning new idioms. She is always willing to lend an ear for people to talk about their problems, but rarely speaks of her past. When she is pressured into revealing things about herself, she buries meanings behind flowery and superfluous words. Her beautiful and polished appearance has many suitors knocking at her door, but she remains fiercely independent.
