DOLAM Engineering Company

The DOLAM Engineering Company is one of the smaller corporations out there in the system, yet one of the most influential. DOLAM hires only the best minds of each generation, to better ensure the quality of their various projects, and it works. If you haven't been there, you have most certainly seen it at some point, whether it be pictures or from the coastline, the DOLAM Lunar Elevator is possibly the greatest feat of mechanical engineering done by Humanity, ever. The elevator commonly brings people and resources from the equator of Mete, to the primary lunar colony on Luna. This is just one example of the great things DOLAM has done in the past, and one shudders to think about what they could do in the future with enough resources and time. 
DOLAM may have been an acronym for something at one point in time, but now it has just been attributed as the name of the company. The face of the company is a man named Joe Mechanical, and is commonly thought to be the founder, while in reality he is just a spokesperson. The true leader of the company is a Board of Directors that is composed of each of the heads of each division in the company, who answer to stockholders but provide a unique perspective as actual engineers, scientists, and inventors in the executive side of the company.
The corporation has its headquarters on the tourist planet of Lao, which has marvelous resorts and coastlines to experience, while you forget about how further inland you go you will only find quarries, laboratories, factories, and various other facilities owned by the corporation. Many shady things go on that planet, with ecological and environmental hazards being swept under the rug so the public still views DOLAM in a positive light, as they continuously work for a better tomorrow, at the expense of the natural world however.
