Session 34 - Thou Shalt Not Pass Again

General Summary

The Chaos Marked have escaped the Naphtali Halcyon without being detected and returned to Tonbarony with a portal to get right back to where they can return to the Halcyon. The enemy doesn't even know they left, but will they be able to pass through with the Naphtali Planar Dragon Egg Safely?

The session summary comes from Cadok today!

Thou Shalt Not Pass Again

The Chaos Marked are ready to deliver one of the eggs, supposidly contianing the entire of the Napthali Ancestry, besides Lansia. But they could not ahve foreseen what they would find.

With the Egg strapped on STar-Tusk, the Heroes make their way to sneak back once back into the still open portal to the Halcyon, thanks to the help of the Elementals. The Guards outside it were luckily distracted and no match for the infiltration efforts of Osburne, Ferrus and Lanasia.

Now with egg in hand, they followed the two Sovereign Dragons instructions of putting the Egg on the podest, which quickly done, did not result in a massive magical event or a summoning of hundreds of people. Instead it simply opend a staircase.

Descending into it, they find themself in an empty prison. All rooms were abondand, multiple doors were locked, and quite powerfully so, not even Uriel's Gift, a highly enchanged Adamantine Sword could scratch them. Which they did try to free a weakend Clockwork mage who was apparantly stuck there for Ages. With that, they kept descending further and further down, until Hubaquaal, who recently joined up via Teleportation stone, spotted a hidden door, leading to a secret vault. Locked behind a Cage of indestructable glass was a book, which they successfully identified as one of Solomon's Prisons. It uses Bloodmagic to seal in Entities inside it or a Demiplane connected to it.

Since it was out of reach, they continued their search, until they reached the deepest Room, which suprisingly opend when asked politly. Which once it did revealed another see through cell, but this time there was an innmate. A Construct. An Inevitable. An Elite Kolyarut.

The Diplomat among Inevitables did started to talk, but rather to itself, before suddenly teleporting out of his cage by switcing places with Osburne, trapping him inside. And with that one of the most dangerous fights began, with the Inevitable proclaiming to fullfill his duty of extermination. This being teleported around and with its axiomatic sword. When it was backed into a corner, it decided to atleast kill Lamurias which i t almost succeeded, bringing the Cleric to the bring of death before it was finally destroyed.

With the Fight over, the Party started investigating the Area, to make sense. Wandering into the Cell, they discovered that first, the Cell on the inside had reflective surfaces, meaning the Inevitable had been talking to itself for multiple Ages. And a dwarven corpse with keys. Cadok surmized, that the Dwarf was the one sealing the Napthali in, luring the Inevitable into this cell and locking them both him, to stop it from every unlocking the Book.

In the meantime, Lanasia decided to use a key they found and parts of the Inevitable, to zoom through the entire prison, seperating from the party, to free the clockwork mage and implant the Inevitables part into it to safe it. Which caused it to follow the Inevitables orders, which was killing the Napthali. So it had to be destroyed.

That distraction out of the way, the Chaos Marked were finally able to get to the book, and with that, they found what they were looking for: The Entire Napthali Ancestry, in their hands.

Though as they left, they finally got to open all the doors, finding no others prisoners. Apparantly the Napthali wanted to save everyone even their criminals. Some Teleportation Runes, and a letter from Lanasia's Father, who explains how Lanasia ended up in Raan. Lanasia holds onto the Letter, while they return back to the surface, now with the task of Freeing the Napthali.

But are they Safe?
