Session 33 - Thou Shalt Not Pass

General Summary

The Chaos Marked have successfully made their way into the Primeval Mythal, but now they have a task they must complete: returning one of the Planar Dragon eggs. But how?

Downtime

When we rejoined the Chaos Marked, they were still spending time taking care of downtime tasks and exploring the city of Tel Lachish. Hubaqaal was just finishing up his finial for the lovely fountain in the center of the Town Square, and his creation was ... absolutely sublime. Relinquishing his own powerful staff to his creation, he allowed it to walk up the fountain and take its place, secured in place and connected to the beating heart of the Naphtali Halcyon -- the name of this strange not-destroyed reality-bending sanctuary -- the artifcat that Hubaqaal had created with the assistance of Ferrus began to replenish the elementals of town. Slowly, perhaps, but replenish it did, and in so doing, has altered the local landscape such that the city yearns to flow with knowledge of the natural world.

Meanwhile, the Sovereign Dragon twins -- Brantley & Brenton -- were assisting Vanilla and Milo in tickling Cadok. And right outside of the Armon Menucha courtyard where Cadok was being tickled, Osburne meditated with the treans in the dark green.

The group, their work done for the moment, gathered together and discussed how best to leave the Halcyon: carefully so as not to arouse suspicion? Or perhaps destroying everything in their path because you can't raise an alarm if you're dead? The group decided on the former course of action by a narrow margin and -- with the help of the elementals, since there were now enough to spare to leave the sity -- headed toward the entrance.

The group was able to successfully escape without any alarms being raised, and away from the entrance they crept. Of course, with Hubaqaal's artifact, the door wasn't closed (though it is protected) so now the option exists to sneak back in later with the help of the elementals.

Cadok led the group away to a stable pocket of nearby matter which Lanasia covered in mist and Hubaqaal expertly rendered hidden with a pattern that caused the entrance to "fade" naturally right into the rest of the wall.

This done, Hubaqaal and Cadok joined forces to create a proper "key" to allow them to quickly travel back here from Tonbarony, then Cadok teleported everyone home. Well, at least on the third try. Or was it the seventh? Regardless, the group is now in Tonbarony, having identified the proper Naphtali-containing Planar Dragon Egg, and they are currently preparing for the return trip.
