Session 30- Shards of Eld IV

General Summary

While the Fairy Rave continues on within the cart, the Chaos Marks return home with a prize they cannot use and an opponent who they would be wise not to anger. Now that they have the Shard of Eld in their hand, what can they do with it?

Our session notes come from Cadok this week!

Raan into Darkness

The Party retreats from the Temple of Rak'tar, needing to rest after the Terror they faced. They went out to find the Bush Guardian, to check in on them, before making Camp. During the Trip, a Fey Rave is started by Lanasia and Cadok and Hubaqaal have a talk, in which the Stone Druid states that he will stay with the Group for the near future.

Once through Osburne's navigational skill, they come across the Bush Guardian, who seems happy to meet them again. To continue the Rave, Lanasia deploys her portable Party Shack, which was the perfect place to take a breather. Osburne used that oppertunity to talk to the Bush Guardian, to discuss his Tendency of Storm and Lightning Magic, over his previous Dedication to the Untamed Side of Nature. And thanks to the Guardian#s advise, he changes his Order to fit his new Lifestyle.

Which was not the only changes, since Star-Tusk seemed to have also gained new powers after all this time, shooting Divine Beams and casting Light. Which Osburne wanted to top by giving the Arboreal Raptor a Shower.

In the meantime Cadok notices that his Armor seems to be unstable, its Runes frequently changing its attributes. Apparantly the Celestial Armor did not take well to Rak'tar's Blessing, needing reinforcments once they are back in town. But before, the Champion has a conversation with the Bush Guardian, who was now interested to join Tonbarony, together with the Seed it already gave Cadok. He gladly welcomed it and feeling overly confident, he asks where all the Dragons were which accosted them before.

To Spite an Honest question, 4 dragons approached the Party, which quickled turned into a Combat of two troops, Osburne and Ferrus riding a Huge Mistscale, and Hubaqaal and Lanasia taking on the other two, with Cadok and Star-Tusk roaming between the groups.

Facing against two Forest Dragons and two new unknown types of Dragon were a considerable threat, but the Chaos Marked have grown in Power, getting blasted and shredded. Osburne showing of his newest tricks of blasting, Mistcales gigantic Might, Hubaqaal the T-Rex, and the ever swift Lanasia rip the enemies apart. Cadok supports as much as he can, but anytime a Dragon became close to death near him, an urge to feast overcame him, and not able to resist this new temptation, he bit and devourerd parts of the fallen Beasts.

With the Dragons killed and their parts harvested, the Bush Guardian decided to cut the Travel short, to create a Portal to Tonbarony directly, which fit everyone through. Back safely in Civilization, and with new citizens, the Chaos Marked's work wasn't done. They had an artifact to repair. Which Cadok excused himself from. Headed by Lanasia's magical Crafting and the Aid of the others, they manage to fix the Shard of Eld, despite some close calls. And their Mission a success.

While in the meantime, Cadok went to immidietly spread the true Story of his change to avoid harmful rumours from festering. Starting with Lamurias and Nimue, he convinces them that he is still himself despite the Blessing of Rak'tar and with Osburne convincing Biri and Koerth Truefang with his reports, followed by a quick lunch in the Fan of Dagger, Cadok's Image was safed.

The question now is, what will be the next Step for the Chaos Marked? What shall they do with the Shard of Eld? And how will they deal with the knowladge that Lord Darvus Valadicar is still out there?
