Session 27 - Seeking Winter : Shards of Eld

General Summary

The Chaos Marked have developed a reputation not only among their friends, but also their rivals and possible enemies. It is for this reason that the Court of Seasons has sent a representative to them to ask their assistance in an effort they are currently hard at work toward: the rescue -- if necessary -- of the entire Court of Winter.   To this end, they first ask the group to travel to an ancient temple that sleeps deep within the swampy morass of Vethad in search of a particular crystal...

Our session report comes from the journal of Cadok!

Into Darkness

This day started with Cadok asking for Biri to visit him at the Hospital to discuss something important. She arrived, but with a Gift. Apparently The Kingdom of Ulric is recovering from the last War, and managed to make deals with the Bank of Meledaq, to fund the rebuilding projects and the Chaos Marked, since their deeds have become so extraordinary, the reward would be much for Ulric's cover and was moved to be supported by the Bank itself. Hence they got newer improved Campaigne Marks which worked anywhere the Bank of Meledaq is operating.

Accepted more places that VISA or Mastercard (which don't exist in Raan)

After that Cadok introduces Eivyss the Nagaji to Biri and explains the situation, that she is not a Yuan-Ti but the people would not know and had no reason to believe her not being a spy. So he asks Biri to help spread the word that Eivyss is not a threat, which she accepts. In the conversation Cadok also finally learned why he gotten so many Lawbooks of the Kingdom of Ulric, because he was a noble of the Country and he owned land, which meant he had to enforce the law of Ulric in Tonbarony. With leaving a disturbed Cadok, Biri also gives a message she received that an ambassador from the Monarch would come, on a leave. There it came out that there was apparently an Ambassador of Titania possibly be around, last seen at the Fan and Dagger. With that Ferrus, Osburne and Cadok made their way to the restaurant to find out more, also to finally meet that Dragon who is apparently in town.

As the group arrived at the Fan and Daggers which was just overflowing with guests, they were watched by a visitor. A Person of an Ancestry they had never seen before. Multiple purple eyes, a Reptile Maw and hair filled with other purple dots was very interested in them. Cadok approached the fellow and greeted him, and the Person let himself be called Hubaquaal until they had earned the right to know his name. Hubaquaal was very curious about the group and once they mentioned they fought and killed Yuan-Ti, he was very interested in Tagging along and learn. Apparently his kind were enemies of the Yuan-Ti and had fled at some point in the past underground somewhere to escape them. And Hubaquaal implied that he was the first to ever return back to the surface. With their new comrade, the Group marched in and saw a large Sapphire Dragon, who went with the name Victoria Takahasi, who has been giving new recipes from Osenia to the Fan and Dagger, to stay. There they talked about the Avatar of Titania Lanasia had accidentally summoned, who was no longer around though. After that and seeing the restaurant being full, Cadok was about to invite them all to Kobold's Kobobs, as they heard an alarm coming from Tonbarony. Cadok teleported them all to Tonbarony, where they learned from the Coffee-alchemist, that Lanasia was abducted by Pixies and nowhere to be found. But with his Sight, Cadok quickly spotted her on the Feywild counterpart of Tonbarony, and with Isolos and Milo tagging along, they all shifted over to the Feywild, where they woke up Lanasia from a knockout poison.

Before they could discuss much further, Milo seemed to become possessed by Titania, who was not very happy with Lanasia, but needed the group to do something for her. She offered the possibility of a Boon, if the Chaos Marked would bring back an Artifact which the Yuan-Ti currently owned, which could potentially locate the lost Winter Court. Cadok being naïve, was almost about to accept, Ferrus and Osburne stopped him, because Titania only promised a possibility, not an actual boon. And with that the Discussion broke up and Isolos freed Milo from the possession. Though Titania not wanting to support a future trade, the Chaos Marked are not under the illusion that they could just ignore the loss of an entire Fey Court, so they would simply reclaim the artifact for themself and find out what happend.

Milo who was very happy to help out, was wondering if he could stay and as Cadok allowed him to stay and support Tonbarony, became his second Squire and the First Knight of the newfounded Order of the Green Knights of Tonbarony.

Milo the Adorable, lookin' cute (as always)
