Myore
Myore or Myore Shards are crystals and gemstones induced with great amounts of magical, arcane, naturally accured potential (referred to as mana potential or simply mana). These crystals are often used in different inventions, but are rare. The minerals that get turned into Myore aren't all made equal - some materials hold more mana than others.
Technically, all material has some level of mana in it. Gemstones that are left in certain parts of the world simply gather more mana than others. Most notable for their ability to hold vast amounts of mana are rubies, sapphires, emeralds, citrines, amethysts and ilvaites. It is possible to bury these gemstones deep into the earth and wait hundreds of years to harvest them, now turned into natural Myore. Though natural Myore is extremely strong, its magical power is finite. To power constructs and machines functionally infinitely, mages can enchant these magical stones with many different spells, directing their magical energy into this specific stone. This gemstone, infused with mana thanks to a spell that has been cast upon it, is called industrial Myore. However, there is a rare and valuable version of Myore that has seemingly infinite mana. This material is what most legendary magical artifacts are made from, and it is called raw Myore. While natural and industrial Myore are relatively easy to find on the market and can be bought, raw Myore is rarely sold out in the open, and even more rarely is it bought whole. Those who deal with raw Myore often choose to carefully shatter the Myore gem in order to produce more raw Myore. This process can only be applied to raw Myore, because if it were applied to natural or industrial Myore, it would lose its mana. The products this process produces are called Myore Shards. Raw Myore can be told apart from natural and industrial Myore by holding it up against a magical flame - other Myore shine slightly, but Raw Myore both glows and shifts colour when turned.
