Heafoten
The Oracle Outposts, sacred places of Sagginian worship, are at the heart of the Heafoten region. Strict practice of the ancient oracle tradition is instilled into the youth of Heafoten and shapes its culture to this day.
The Augury lakes
In the middle of the region lie the Augury lakes, ponds of great significance to the oracle tradition. Once outposts for a select few divinators, dedicated to the oracle practice, they now welcome many who are seeking answers. The Augury lakes span far and wide, and according to legend, there is great treasure laying at the bottom of one of them. However, the local Oracles warn adventurers and thieves that that treasure may be best left alone...Prophets
The high-class families of Heafoten and common-folk alike both abide by tradition. The wealthier families send their second-born child to study the way of the Oracles, great divinators with the ability to accurately prophecy the future. Many of these Oracles then look to become the Prophets of other wealthy families. Common-folk also see the value in this practice - Prophets are often paid well, no matter where they find their work, be it a rich family or an organization. Even the Council of Archmages has the Hall of Revelations. The main setback to sending children of farmers and other lower-class citizens to study with the Oracles is the price. While Prophets themselves are paid well, the Oracles are seen as akin to a religious practice, and as such only run thanks to donations and hefty entrance fees.
