Personal history

Born in the small village of Turné where her parents met, Anna Astana grew up with only her mother and sister to support her. Following her birth, on the 1-year anniversary of the Cliffside Rebellion, her mother decided to move with Anna and her sister to Istara, where she has lived since. Anna was educated from age 5, and when she reached age ten, both Anna and Lily were enrolled at Madame Zaharina's Institute of Wizardry, studying various types of thaumaturgy (Lily had studied there upon arriving in Istara). Anna studied primarily life magic, and devoted herself to learning diverse healing spells, going as far as to aid her mother while Hirlia was working on missions. In 16 QY, her sister Lily was kidnapped from their home, which became emotionally taxing on the family and almost drove Anna and Hirlia apart. Luckily, through some counseling and aid from the Wizard Court, it strengthened their resolve and bond after a while. Four years later, at the age of thirteen, Anna found herself on a rescue mission in the Swamp of Valtousei: Marie Derabusase had been poisoned by her father, Maccus, after trying to escape his grasp unsuccessfully. Anna crept into the castle unnoticed, and while the guards' backs were turned, she took the injured Marie out from the castle, and en route to Istara, where Anna healed her in the Wizard Temple. This act of heroism created a long-lasting friendship between the two. Later, in 23 QY, Anna was part of the rescue attempt to save her sister and was the medic for the Allied Team's special operations force, and is currently studying to be a healer.
