Wick
(a.k.a. Wick)
Wick originally entered into a partnership with Jawrek Hornswal, agreeing to divide operational territory: Bewylndir to him, Iketa to her. Over time, she realized Jawrek had positioned himself above her rather than beside her, keeping his hands clean while expanding his control. Her anonymity and survival now depend on continued compliance.

E4 and Entanglement with the CR5
Jawrek had been expecting an arrival. Wick received the instructions that an important tool from their earlier years of the Gilded Complex was to arrive at the Wooden Thump Inn, in Iketa and speak the code phrase, “I’ll have a cidar, hold the apples”. An automaton, very powerful and very dangerous. Now no timeline was provided as to when it would arrive, but if it did, the instructions were to secure it, report back, and await further instruction. Years of no signal went by, until 915 RF (present) about two months after a deal in Behemith had recently fell through to intercept the bot. The code phrase was spoken, not by an automaton, but a half-elf. Dubious of the interloper, Wick sent Elid to bring the man to an alternative location, rigged to explode if they Complex needed a quick escape. The man addressed himself as “Klein” (Sal), and attempted to pass himself off as an employee of “The Weapon” (E4), and draw some information out of Wick. She suspiciously proceeded to inquire about Kleins motives, the specifics on “the Weapon,” as well as its whereabouts, but grew frustrated and anxious as she was met by deflection. Meanwhile, the rest of the knives stationed outside began being spotting other suspicious individuals sneaking around the building. A half-orc, a dragonborn, a dwarf, a human, and another half-elf. Klein was not alone, and his associates were out for blood. The human was the first to attack, then the others, ending up in a knock down brawl ending right before the front door of the house Wick was in. Realizing they were compromised, Wick yelled the signal, and Jath sent a torch hurtling into the room with Klein which was also full of black powder. In the explosion, chaos ensued as the Complex fled from the city in circuitous routes to the hideout. Far from optimal, the Complex made it back to their hideout, an abandoned Selunite in the woods of Iketa, to regroup and figure out what to do from here. All but the new recruit, Doo Meng, who appears to have not evaded capture from the assailants. This was bad. Jawrek would not tolerate this type of fumble, especially from Wick.
Jath would later find out, that under duress, Doo Meng then offered intel in exchange for his freedom and helping him free his Switch, who’d gotten locked up by Wick for spreading rumors of her distaste for Jawrek. During this time, the rest of the Complex debated on how to salvage the situation at the Temple. But just was Wick was preparing to make a descision, “Jawrek’s little shipment has clearly been compromised. And if it’s as dangerous as he says, then there’s not much we can do here. Jath, take Pops crew and make preparations to held to Bewylndir. You’re heading out at first light,” and mere hours after the encounter, Knife Crackles head was thrown down the stairs into their very chamber, the assailants declaring their presence from the top. It was then Jath know they were clearly dealing with psychopaths.
The group announced themselves as the Crack Rack 5, and took an aggressive stance, the traitorous Doo Meng close behind. Wick warns them that they won’t all make it out alive if they continue forward. Blood was about to be shed, but tensions eased as the human, Vel, and Wick agreed to exchange information under the dragonborn, Eri’s, Zone of Truth. Wick revealed details of Gilded Complex’s inner workings and about the automaton, as the group explained their friendship with the automaton which they called E4. But, what truly caught Wick’s attention was Klein’s, or his real name, Sal’s offhand remark about killing her boss for them. They had found out that Jawrek had manipulated her, using her past and deeds as leverage. Switch no doubt. Still, this might be Wick’s only chance to get out from beneath Jawrek’s thumb once and for all. To Jath’s surprise, Wick agreed revealing the location of the bathouse, Traveler’s Rest Bathhouse, in the Kinspire district of Behemith. She called for a meeting at the Nook Tavern in around two weeks to make plans to infiltrate and eliminate him.
Now two days before, Sal reached out to Wick. Wick gave him a time and a place, midafternoon, west Telende, Dustbunnies pub. The time is coming to see if this group stays true to their word.
