Session 9- The Cathedral
General Summary
The party led by the devout Sparko charge across the Moonbridge to the decrepit Cathedral.
Dark Shadowy squidlike creatures circle through the ruined glass ceilings.
Sparko immediately unleashes Lathanders fireball and Nysander unloads with Eldritch Blasts.
Big Al charges into the frey as the Star Vampires close in for the attack.
Spewing void energy the Star Vampires attack.
Several attempt to grasp Al in their tendrils.
With a sonic boom a strange juvenile angelic newcomer arrives flying high above.
He greets the party naming himself Lumin and offers his aid.
The battle continues Nysander continues blasting Eldritch Energy , Big Al let's loose with his Skillet and Lews unloads Firebolts.
Lumin strums his Lyre a celestial Web appearing amongst the creatures felling 4 of them dropping them prone out the sky.
Vulnerable now the party continue to press the attack. Big Al, Nysander and Lews slaying the beasts.
With a Hiya and sparkling celestial energy Lumin destroys the last one.
The party take a moment to regroup and become acquainted.
Big Al collects smashed pulpy Squidlike remains.
Nysander mutters to himself manically and enscibe a Eldritchrune on a pillar much to Sparkos chargrin.
They explore the Cathedral and ignite the beacons inside creating a still peaceful respite.
Lumin explains he arrived via a Gate spell cast by Methrammar but it will only last an hour.
After some debate the party decide to head back to Sangoras mansion to retrieve Eldon and decide next steps either try to reach the Gate in time or face the Dollinger Tomb.
Eldon seems odd, distracted and glassy eyed.
