Session 6- Rituals and Realms
General Summary
The party discuss next steps and Investigate the southern door where the ritual chants can be heard.
Nysander checks the door and discovers dark wards on the door, he summons his dark powers dispelling the wards and deactivating the trap.
Wanting to get a better look inside Feldon thoroughly convinced she's a shapeshifting wizard turns into Tiny spider and scuttles under the door to take a look.
Inside is a strange ritual going on several cults seem to be summoning sinister tendrils of power and shadow. Nothics stand guard alongside Bangura's .
Hanging from the ceiling in the centre in a circular cage is a young looking elven cleric of Lathander, ragged and beaten. Energy being sapped by the ritual.
Feldon reports her findings to the party and they discuss plans. Big Al suggests a bomb made out of the eviscerated body of Jerot.
Al sets off in search of flammable materials finding some brandy in Jerots Chambers.
The party hear noises from the common room and investigate encountering Umberto and a ornately garbed stranger.
Immediately Sparko demands to know who he is and summons the beginning of a fireball.
In response the stranger muttering to himself and others also does the same.
Fortunately Umberto intervenes and explains that they were sent by Bysal.
The newcomer Introduces himself as first Rand then Lews but as things calm down the party establish he is Lews investigating dreams and disruption to the weave.
The party explain about the ongoing ritual and formulate a plan.
Nysander uses a scroll to make the whole party apart from Al invisible.
They barge into the ritual room all guys blazing.
Big Al unleashes his Skillet and fireballs are let loose Immediately seriously injuring the Nothics on guard and disrupts the main Cultist leading the ritual.
Chaos insues as theritual goes ary. The lead Cultists head explodes and the shadowy tendrils start to swirl I to a vortex dragging everyone toward them.
Feldon and Big Al are dragged in and engulfed.
Nysander and Sparko continue the attack and Lews unleashes a fireball of ice annihilating the remaining Cultists.
The Vortex unravels and increases in power dragging all into itself.
The party pass out as they feel their minds being stretched throughout the multiverse.
On awakening they find themselves in a dank , deathly replica of the tombs.
The party awake in sarcophagi much to their terror.
Ghouls roam freely.
They pull themselves together finding a battered Eldon Keyward.
Sparko and Nysander check him over much to his distress and find a wizard mark.
Sparko removes it but sends Eldon I to unconsciousness.
They assess the situation and Sparko taking issue with the Ghouls blasts them with Lathanders light sending them scarpering from the room.
Battered and bruised the party barricade the door and take a well deserved rest.
