Session 2- Into Etherdeth
General Summary
The Party battle six sinister Wights and theor horde of 8 Zombies, discovering the fate of the Silverguard Patrols.
Nysander rejoins the party scaling the walls and using Eldrotch Blasts and his Staff of Annialation
Feldon in T Rex form rampages the undead smashing with her tail and chomping them to shreds , Big All blasts them with his Skillet and absorbs the preassureand while Sparko unleashes Lathanders Wrath and unloads with his Sepelcuture War Hammer.
After putting the undead down the party investigate deeper into the tomb searching caskets to find very little of the original habitents.
They delve deeper into the catacombs finding a store room and what seems to be a refuse grate. They disciver a heavily reinforced door which Big Al smashes off its hinges.
Within is a narrow hallway leading to an old Crypt where they hear sounnds of distress. Big Al and Sparko heave the lid off the Sarcophagus to find a bedraggled actress and bard Illeana, one of the missing folks.
She is very distressed and disoreintated but recounts what she recalls of her abductors mysterious robed cultists and recounts a tale of her vision.
The vision is not unlike the dark dreams the party experianced the night before.
On hearing the news the party discover a secret and the potential dark power Vecna is involved.
The party discuss how to return her to the City proper and they discover a sinister brand on her shoulder, she has no recollection of how it got there.
Sparko seeks inspiration from Lathander and attempts to magically remove the mark this causes a huge psychic backlash but is successful and Nysander recalls these types of Wizard Marks are very powerful magics used to control or distort indivividuals for malign purposes.
The toll of the removal causes Ileana to pass out and they are unable to wake her.
The party decvide to summon the faithful giant goat steed Ernie and strap her atop it, sending her to the Catherdral for aid.
Nysander investigates some stairs and sets off a trap , discovering the door atop the stairs is locked.
Big Al in standard fashion stomps up the stairs setting off the trap again and then smashes the door.
To the parties horror this sets off a set of load bells and alarms within. The stairs lead down and across to another set of steps and another door way at the top somesort of connecting passage to deeper crypts.
Sparko notices some odd pipework and a bath area to the South , the murkey water move with something within as the party discuss wether to investigate the dripping bath area or the passageway a sinister figure in robes opens the opposite door and sends firery balls of explosive energy at the party,
