Session 13- Boneyard , Underdark and Webs Edge
General Summary
The Party learn from glob that the Worm farms are used by underdark denizens for tunnelling and building and his people are being fed to them.
On discussion with the Barkeep Xart , a space alien wanderer race called Raxivart that there are two ways into the tunnels leading to the Underdark. The Cess pit where a creature dwells and devourers all things in its pit ad the Rotten Oak Tree in the dark forest.
The Tree is the main route nair thee well types enter and access the underdark.
The party decide on the direct approach as always and head into the dark forest , soaked from the rain with little shelter from the dead canopy.
The party discover the escaping drows tracks and follow them into the woods , then seeing a clearing with old ruined stone building an outhouse and a tower flanking a huge gnarled, hollow , rotten oak tree.
They skirt around rather than the direct path and approach the Tower. Nysander bravely stride forward and is immediately shot with 3 drow bolts paralysing him.
The rest of the party seige the tower and with the help of Glob take out the senties, 3 Drow Skirmishers.
Nysander recovers and levitates upwards to the high boughs of the tree and spots a giant spideresque creature ascending.
The party attack from the ground, climbing the roots and across a bridge avoiding the cable thick webs and cocoons.
The creature emerges revealing a horrid abomination called a drider half dead drow, half giant spider, it spews venom at Nysander paralysis him once more and leaves him spinning in mid air.
A tough, high risk battle ensues inthe tree branches with Big Al eventually breaking the creatures neck with a hard brutal punch sending it hurtling down the hollow of the tree.
The party follow the hollow downwards into a natural root staircase into subterranean tunnels.
As they descend they find themselves in a natural tunnel leading northwards with an ancient stone cobbled construction underground similar to above.
