Havenwood
A peaceful pine forest with occasional oak, aspen, and other tree species, the Havenwood lies south of Caelum lake and surrounds the bridge towns of Yerwood and Clewick. The Havenwood has long been home to small farming communities of humans and elves. These communities rarely mix, but coexist with little to no friction.
Thirty years ago, the explosion that created Blightsource Crater diminshed the boundaries of the Havenwood. Many of the farming communities that were located along the southern edges of this fertile land turned to ash as ejecta and monstrous winds ripped apart the forest and poisoned the soil for tens of miles. In some villages, great chunks of earth rained from the sky, killing many and laying flat nearly all the inhabitants’ homes.
Since the explosion, some recovery has been possible, but many of the worst hit villages were abandonded by the few survivors. These survivors were forced to integrate into the nearby towns, search for work in the cities, or take their chances in other parts of Fenlor.
